We are exploring the scope of our work for this ‘act’ with a focus on ‘Value Based Healthcare’ in the procurement of medical supplies into the NHS. This targets products and suppliers that can demonstrate the co-benefits of patient outcomes, financial efficiency and lower carbon footprints. This will emphasise the need to reduce single-use products and instead prioritise the full life-cycle cost and benefits of products to inform more effective buying behaviours.
