Climate Sustainable Conference Venues

Much has changed in the last two years. The fact that the climate crisis is upon us has become painfully clear. This is no longer an issue for ‘future generations’, but for us and our children.

February 2024 marked the first year-long breach of the key 1.5°C warming limit[1], and dangerous climate feedback loops are now in effect[2]. Governments have clearly shown us that they cannot lead on this issue. As healthcare professionals and humanitarian and emergency workers, we cannot stand on the touchlines.

We will be engaging to play our part in many ways. But in the meantime, we propose a framework for on-site conferences to which we would like all to sign up.

We have no time left. The sands are ever hotter and are running out. If you agree, please sign the declaration, and start your own organisation’s journey.
